Principles — competence, informed consent, confidentiality, boundaries of the relationship, non-discrimination, scientific integrity and honest advertising — with duties toward patients and students, prohibited conduct, and the relationship between the Code and local law (the law prevails; the Code never authorizes what a jurisdiction prohibits). It binds all certificate holders and is a condition of keeping the seal.

How AIMS collects and handles data — especially the professionals directory and forms. It must cover LGPD (Brazil), GDPR (Europe) and applicable U.S./state rules: legal basis for processing, purpose, retention, data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion), consent for public directory display, and international data transfer. Sensitive health data requires additional safeguards.

Rules of the site and services: eligibility, use of the seal and mark, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and — prominently — the clause that certification does not constitute a license or authorization to practice. Includes applicable law and venue.

A channel for complaints about certified professionals and schools, with published deadlines, impartial handling, and the right of appeal for anyone assessed. This is essential to the credibility of a certifying body.
